Many a proclaimer, prophet, came to you with manifest signs (marvels) which you however disregarded maliciously and imperiously, and therefore you committed an outrage against the truth and continue to do so
today, because you have fallen into the worship of divinities and tin gods which neither possess rationality nor
intellect nor the slightest fibre of might so that they could not even make one hair on your heads turn grey. |

So mancher Künder, Prophet, kam zu euch mit offenbaren Zeichen (Wundersamkeiten), die ihr
aber bösartig und selbstherrlich missachtet und damit an der Wahrheit Frevel getrieben habt
und das auch heute noch tut, denn ihr seid der Anbetung an Gottheiten und Götzen verfallen,
die weder Vernunft und Verstand noch ein winziges Fäserlein Macht haben, um auch nur auf
euren Häuptern ein Haar ergrauen zu lassen. |
