Woe betide those who steal the teaching of the proclaimers, the prophets, and write their own books using
it, lying that these are their own teachings and that they only want to take a paltry price for this; therefore
woe betide them on behalf of what they steal and write in lies, and it will go ill with them because of the price
that they fraudulently extract, because ill-gotten goods never prosper for long, it being unavoidable that lies
will come to the light of the truth. |

Wehe denen, welche der Künder, der Propheten Lehre stehlen und daraus eigene Bücher
schreiben und lügen, dass es ihre eigenen Lehren seien und dafür nur einen armseligen Preis
nehmen möchten; also wehe ihnen um dessentwillen, was sie stehlen und durch Lügen schreiben,
und es wird ihnen wehe werden durch den Preis, den sie ertrügen, denn unrecht Gut gedeihet
nicht auf lange Zeit, weil Lügen unaufhaltsam ans Licht der Wahrheit drängen. |
