People of your kind (human beings), put on your jewellery at any time of your choosing, pursue your enjoyments, visit places of edification and take pleasure in this and that, and eat and drink, but do not exceed the
limits (boundaries) in doing this, so that you always do rightful and fair (responsible) things, so you do not get
very badly out of the control of the good human nature and do not fall prey to immoderacy. |

Euresgleichen (Menschen), legt euren Schmuck an zu jeder euch beliebigen Zeit, geht euren Vergnügungen nach, besucht Stätten der Erbauung (Andacht) und erfreut euch an diesem und
jenem, und esst und trinkt, doch überschreitet dabei die Beschränkungen (Grenzen) nicht, auf
dass ihr immer des Rechtens und Gerechtens (Verantwortungsvollen) tut, so ihr nicht ausartet
und nicht der Unmässigkeit verfallt. |
