And if you are travelling, man or woman, then do the same as in your own house, involving washing or bathing
daily to maintain your purity (hygiene) as often as the occasion (conditions) require; and this also applies to sick
people and those working under dirty conditions, and also when you come from the privy (toilet); and it is also
recommended for you to clean yourselves by washing or with a bath after you have lain with one another (had
sexual intercourse); and man and woman remove your hair from your private parts in order to maintain your
purity (hygiene) and health and so that no vermin may lodge themselves there; however, do not defile (circumcise) your sexual organ, so that it may be left in the status of appearance (nature) for the sake of completeness,
and it may only be modified (circumcised) for reasons of health (medical/surgical measures); and if you do not
find any water for you to clean yourselves with then obtain (take) suitable cloths (towels) and use them to clean
yourselves. |

Und seid ihr unterwegs auf Reisen, Mann oder Weib, dann tut gleichsam wie im eigenen Haus,
so ihr euch täglich der Aufrechterhaltung eurer Reinheit (Hygiene) durch Waschen oder Baden
hingebt, so oft es die Angelegenheit (Umstand) erfordert; also gelte das auch für Kranke und
Arbeitende im Zustand der Unreinheit, wie auch dann, wenn ihr vom Abtritt (Toilette) kommt;
und also sei euch geboten, euch mit einer Waschung oder mit einem Bad zu reinigen, wenn ihr
einander beigewohnt (beigeschlafen) habt; und befreit eure Scham vom Haar, Mann und Weib,
um eurer Reinheit (Hygiene) und Gesundheit willen und auf dass sich kein Ungeziefer darin einniste; schändet (beschneidet) jedoch nicht euer Geschlechtsorgan, auf dass es um der Ganzheit
willen im Zustand des Aussehens (Natur) belassen und nur dann verändert (beschnitten) werde,
wenn es allein die Not der Gesundheit (medizinisch-chirurgische Massnahme) erfordert; und
findet ihr kein Wasser, auf dass ihr euch damit reinigt, dann behändigt (nehmt) geeignete Gewebe (Tücher) und reibt euch damit zur Reinlichkeit. |
