47) And if you are guilty of sexual excessiveness and fornication (sexual culpability) and of sexual enticement (whoring) when you have entered into a bond (marriage), then the jurisdiction shall impose a hard punishment on you as shall be prescribed by a fulfilment of guidelines; therefore the same shall also apply to those amongst you who are only guilty of making an approach (attempt) so that you may fear the unrightful doing and hold back because that is better for you.
47) Und werdet ihr der Geilheit und Unzucht (sexuelle Schuld) und der Buhlerei (Hurerei) schuldig, wenn ihr ein Bündnis (Ehe) eingegangen seid, dann sollt ihr durch die Gerichtsbarkeit harter Ahndung eingeordnet werden, wie diese vorgeschrieben sein soll durch eine Massnahmevollziehung; also soll das auch gelten für jene unter euch, welche ihr euch auch nur des Anlaufes (Versuches) schuldig macht, auf dass ihr euch vor dem unrechten Tun fürchtet und zurückhaltet, weil das besser für euch ist.
