Indeed, your life is extremely exciting and instructive in every wise – it only needs to be understood. |

However, understanding what is exciting and instructive is not merely a matter of these two factors, but in
truth it is about the effective life which demands that you as human beings are your own best friends. |

Beim Erfassen des Spannenden und Lehrreichen geht es jedoch nicht nur um diese beiden
Faktoren, sondern in Wahrheit um das effective Leben, das fordert, dass ihr euch als Menschen
selbst euer bester Freund seid. |

Being your own best friend means that you are such towards yourselves as you sometimes can be towards the
most beloved fellow human being and friend. |

Sich selbst der beste Freund sein bedeutet, dass ihr gegenüber euch selbst so seid, wie ihr es
manchmal gegenüber dem liebsten Mitmenschen und Freund sein könnt. |

And if you do not succeed in upholding the friendship to yourselves on one day or even on two or three occasions, then the rule to follow is not to build up any vexation about this, because the next day will certainly
come on which the friendship to yourselves will once again be successful; because just as the next day comes
and the world exists, everything of high values in you human beings yourselves can also be made permanent
– if only the initiative thereto is seized. |

Und gelingt das Aufrechterhalten der Freundschaft zu euch selbst an einem Tag nicht oder gar
zweioder dreimal nicht, dann gilt die Regel, dass darüber kein Ärger aufgebaut wird, denn der
nächste Tag, an dem die Freundschaft zu sich selbst wieder gelingt, kommt ganz bestimmt;
denn wie der nächste Tag kommt und die Welt besteht, kann auch alles an hohen Werten in
euch Menschen selbst beständig gemacht werden – wenn dazu nur die Initiative ergriffen
wird. |

to want to continue living in this world. |
