Chapter 21Abschnitt 21
1) If you human beings are actually observed and analysed, then it is noticeable that none amongst you can entirely accept himself or herself in his or her natural kind. 1) Werdet ihr Menschen an und für sich betrachtet und analysiert, dann ist festzustellen, dass sich keiner unter euch in der Art ganz so annehmen kann, wie er ist.
2) Built up in each of you are basic prerequisites and basic thoughts as well as thereout resulting basic feelings that belong to you, which are in you and remain in you until you pass on and depart out of the life through the dying, so for example the committing of errors and the striving – so that the process of the learning and of the evolving can function at all – as well as aggression, anxiety and fear, joy, happiness, guilt and sorrow, or thoughts and feelings of the superiority or the inferiority. 2) In jedem von euch sind Grundvoraussetzungen und Grundgedanken wie auch daraus resultierende Grundgefühle angelegt, die zu euch gehören, die in euch sind und so lange in euch bleiben, bis ihr das Zeitliche segnet und durch das Sterben aus dem Leben tretet, so z.B. das Begehen von Fehlern und das Streben – damit überhaupt der Prozess des Lernens und des Evolutionierens funktionieren kann –, wie auch Aggression, Angst und Furcht, Freude, Glücklichkeit, Schuld und Trauer, oder Gedanken und Gefühle der Erhobenheit oder der Minderwertigkeit.
3) The whole is based therein that your human life – as all life indeed – is founded in an interaction between contrary factors, and this contrariness is a determining factor for everything which exists, lives, crawls and flies. 3) Das Ganze beruht darin, dass euer menschliches Leben – wie alles Leben überhaupt – auf einem Wechselspiel gegensätzlicher Faktoren beruht und diese Gegensätzlichkeit für alles bestimmend ist, was da existent ist, was lebt und kreucht und fleucht.
4) The law of the contrariness is given in everything, whether it be in the ebb and flood of the seas, whether in the blowing or the calm of the wind, in the day and in the night, in the light and in the darkness or in the male and the female, in the life and dying, in the birth and in the death, in the noise or in the stillness, in the love and in the hatred, in the peace and in the war, because this law of the contrariness is interwoven into all and everything and is therefore recognisable everywhere. 4) Das Gesetz der Gegensätzlichkeit ist in allem gegeben, sei es in der Ebbe und Flut der Meere, sei es im Wind und in der Windstille, im Tag und in der Nacht, im Licht und der Dunkelheit oder im Männlichen und Weiblichen, im Leben und Sterben, in der Geburt und im Tod, im Lärm oder in der Stille, in der Liebe und im Hass, im Frieden und im Krieg, denn dieses Gesetz der Gegensätzlichkeit durchwebt alles und jedes und ist also überall erkennbar.
5) However, a closer observation and consideration of the law of the contrariness leads to the recognition that the basic prerequisites, basic thoughts and the thereout resulting basic feelings can by no way be regarded as scourges of you human beings, because they fundamentally represent challenges through which the life is primarily made worth living, since it is through this encouragement – which is what the challenge actually is – that more and more truth-cognitions, joy and more and more deep sense-reality is extracted from the life. 5) Wird das Gesetz der Gegensätzlichkeit jedoch näher betrachtet, dann ist zu erkennen, dass die Grundvoraussetzungen, Grundgedanken und die daraus resultierenden Grundgefühle keineswegs als Geisseln von euch Menschen betrachtet werden können, denn grundsätzlich stellen sie Herausforderungen dar, durch die das Leben erst lebenswert gemacht wird, weil durch diese Ermunterung – die die Herausforderung tatsächlich ist – dem Leben immer mehr Wahrheitserkenntnisse, Freude und immer mehr und mehr tiefe Sinnwirklichkeit abgerungen wird.
6) If, however, you human beings are of the view that you cannot accept yourselves amply, then this direction of reflecting corresponds to a view that is based on entirely wrong modes of understanding and wrong modes of observing and considering, which have been made in a wrong wise due to prior wrong interpretations of lifeexperiences. 6) Wenn nun aber ihr Menschen der Ansicht seid, dass ihr euch selbst nicht umfänglich annehmen könnt, dann entspricht diese Sinnesrichtung einer Ansicht, die auf völlig falschen Auffassungsund Betrachtensweisen beruht, die in falscher Weise aufgrund bisheriger falsch gedeuteter Lebenserfahrungen gemacht wurden.
7) Indeed, you generally urge yourselves to put all and everything that meets you or happens to you in the negative light and therefore to negate everything to a large extent, instead of recognising the good and positive and evaluating it so that it becomes to the positive knowledge and to the positive life-attitude. 7) Tatsächlich drängt ihr in der Regel selbst dazu, alles und jedes, was euch begegnet oder zustösst, ins negative Licht zu rücken und so in grossem Umfang alles zu negieren, anstatt das Gute und Positive zu erkennen und es auszuwerten, auf dass es zum positiven Wissen und zur positiven Lebenseinstellung wird.
8) The wrong doing of the negation is however truthly not the depth of the self-rejection of you human beings, but rather a no more and no less strongly distorted picture of your own thoughtand feeling-world which, namely, esteems you in the bottom of your inner nature as extremely valueful, but which you want to turn to the opposite through wrong thoughts and views. 8) Das falsche Tun der Negation jedoch ist wahrheitlich nicht die Tiefe der Selbstablehnung von euch Menschen, sondern ein nicht mehr und nicht weniger stark verzerrtes Spiegelbild eurer eigenen Gedankenund Gefühlswelt, das euch im Grunde eures Wesens nämlich selbst als äusserst wertvoll einschätzt, was ihr aber durch falsche Gedanken und Ansichten ins Gegenteilige umwälzen wollt.
9) Truthly, indeed, built up in each one of you human beings, in accordance with the law of the contrariness, are not only negative basic prerequisites, basic thoughts and basic feelings that you have created yourselves, but also positive ones, only that these are generally covered and overlaid through negative ones, and so are hardly or not at all felt and diffusely deformed. 9) Wahrheitlich sind nämlich in jedem von euch Menschen gemäss dem Gesetz der Gegensätzlichkeit nicht nur selbsterschaffene negative Grundvoraussetzungen, Grundgedanken und Grundgefühle angelegt, sondern auch positive, nur dass diese in der Regel verdeckt und durch Negatives überlagert und so kaum oder nicht spürbar und diffus verformt sind.
10) In spite of being covered and overlaid through negative things, however, the positive basic prerequisites, basic thoughts and basic feelings do exist and are merely waiting to be brought forth and utilised. 10) Trotz des Verdecktund Überlagertseins durch Negatives sind jedoch die positiven Grundvoraussetzungen, Grundgedanken und Grundgefühle vorhanden und warten nur darauf, dass sie hervorgeholt und genutzt werden.
11) These positive basic prerequisites, basic thoughts and basic feelings are high inner values of you human beings, such as true love, inner freedom, harmony and inner peace, as well as virtues, honesty, courage, compulsion to be active, character-strength, personality-development, longing for the truthly life, for the creational laws and recommendations, for the fulfilment of the sense of the life as well as for wanting to be something oneself and for wanting to be oneself. 11) Diese positiven Grundvoraussetzungen, Grundgedanken und Grundgefühle sind hohe innere Werte von euch Menschen, wie wahre Liebe, innere Freiheit, Harmonie und innerer Frieden, wie aber auch Tugenden, Ehrlichkeit, Mut, Tatendrang, Charakterstärke, Persönlichkeitsentwicklung, Sehnsucht nach dem wahrheitlichen Leben, nach den schöpferischen Gesetzen und Geboten, nach der Erfüllung des Sinns des Lebens sowie nach selbst etwas sein zu wollen und nach dem, selbst sein zu wollen.
12) Truly, you human beings are chased by your drives, but you must yourselves search for their sense, since through the creational laws and recommendations you are given the freedom in your own will so that you yourselves may fathom out everything and subsequently decide the whole. 12) Wahrlich, ihr Menschen werdet von euren Trieben gejagt, doch nach deren Sinn müsst ihr selbst suchen, denn durch die schöpferischen Gesetze und Gebote ist euch die Freiheit im eigenen Willen gegeben, auf dass ihr selbst alles ergründet und daraufhin das Ganze entscheidet.
13) Therefore you also decide yourselves if you are befallen by anger, that you once again struggle for reconciliation, are not seized by hatred, so that you can create the love in yourselves and also win the love of your fellow human beings. 13) Also entscheidet ihr auch selbst, wenn ihr von Wut befallen werdet, dass ihr wieder um Versöhnung ringt, nicht von Hass ergriffen werdet, damit ihr die Liebe in euch erschaffen und auch die Liebe eurer Mitmenschen erringen könnt.
14) Often, melancholy creeps into you human beings, however only so that you may find the origins of the true joy without you letting yourselves be encircled by compulsions and you can reach out for true love and inner freedom, harmony and inner peace. 14) Oft schleicht sich Melancholie in euch Menschen ein, doch nur, damit ihr zu den Gründen der wahren Freude findet, ohne dass ihr euch von Zwängen umzingeln lasst und ihr euch nach wahrer Liebe und innerer Freiheit, Harmonie und innerem Frieden ausstrecken könnt.
15) And truly, the volition never comes from nothing, because in truth you must search for what you want as human beings in your own inner nature, find it and motivate it to the will, but to do this, thought-impulses are needed, through which then the will is built up and through which then the life is changed, if you only let yourselves be touched and guided by your true inner nature; therefore you shall involve yourselves in things which you recognise to be really valueful and of which you think, that it can stimulate you. 15) Und wahrlich, das Wollen kommt niemals von allein, denn in Wahrheit müsst ihr das, was ihr als Mensch wollt, im eigenen Innern suchen, finden und es zum Willen motivieren, doch dazu braucht es Gedankenanstösse, durch die dann der Wille aufgebaut und durch den dann das Leben verändert wird, wenn ihr euch nur von eurem wahren Inneren her berühren und führen lasst; daher sollt ihr euch auf das einlassen, was ihr als wirklich wertvoll erkennt und von dem ihr denkt, dass es euch bewegen kann.
16) Naturally, each of you human beings – with extremely few exceptions – has quite distinct fundamental problems which accompany you and which weigh on you to a greater or lesser extent, whether it be anxiety or fear, jealousy, envy, stinginess, vice, pathological craving, hatred, immoderateness or pathological craving for wasting things, etc., however it should be important for each of you to recognise these problems in detail, because they determine the life and therefore should be fought and cleared up. 16) Natürlich hat jeder von euch Menschen – mit äusserst wenigen Ausnahmen – ganz bestimmte Grundprobleme, mit denen ihr einhergeht und die euch mehr oder weniger belasten, sei es nun Angst oder Furcht, Eifersucht, Neid, Geiz, Laster, Sucht, Hass, Masslosigkeit oder Verschwendungssucht usw., doch sollte es jedem von euch wichtig sein, diese Probleme im einzelnen zu kennen, weil sie das Leben bestimmen und deshalb bekämpft und aufgelöst werden sollten.
17) Such fundamental problems are not only the greatest tasks and challenges which you human beings have to master, because you must also become aware and learn to understand that everything in the life is founded upon contrarinesses, as a result of which, given the due effort, each thief or deceiver can become honest, the angry mild, the immoderate modest and the angstful courageous. 17) Solche Grundprobleme sind für euch Menschen nicht nur die grössten Aufgaben und Herausforderungen, die ihr zu bewältigen habt, denn ihr müsst euch auch klar werden und zu verstehen lernen, dass alles im Leben auf Gegensätzlichkeiten beruht, woraus sich ergibt, dass, wenn ihr euch darum bemüht, jeder Dieb oder Betrüger ehrlich werden kann, der Wütende sanftmütig, der Masslose bescheiden und der Angstvolle mutig.
18) Indeed, your life is extremely exciting and instructive in every wise – it only needs to be understood. 18) Tatsächlich ist euer Leben in jeder Beziehung äusserst spannend und lehrreich – es muss nur erfasst werden.
19) However, understanding what is exciting and instructive is not merely a matter of these two factors, but in truth it is about the effective life which demands that you as human beings are your own best friends. 19) Beim Erfassen des Spannenden und Lehrreichen geht es jedoch nicht nur um diese beiden Faktoren, sondern in Wahrheit um das effective Leben, das fordert, dass ihr euch als Menschen selbst euer bester Freund seid.
20) Being your own best friend means that you are such towards yourselves as you sometimes can be towards the most beloved fellow human being and friend. 20) Sich selbst der beste Freund sein bedeutet, dass ihr gegenüber euch selbst so seid, wie ihr es manchmal gegenüber dem liebsten Mitmenschen und Freund sein könnt.
21) And if you do not succeed in upholding the friendship to yourselves on one day or even on two or three occasions, then the rule to follow is not to build up any vexation about this, because the next day will certainly come on which the friendship to yourselves will once again be successful; because just as the next day comes and the world exists, everything of high values in you human beings yourselves can also be made permanent – if only the initiative thereto is seized. 21) Und gelingt das Aufrechterhalten der Freundschaft zu euch selbst an einem Tag nicht oder gar zweioder dreimal nicht, dann gilt die Regel, dass darüber kein Ärger aufgebaut wird, denn der nächste Tag, an dem die Freundschaft zu sich selbst wieder gelingt, kommt ganz bestimmt; denn wie der nächste Tag kommt und die Welt besteht, kann auch alles an hohen Werten in euch Menschen selbst beständig gemacht werden – wenn dazu nur die Initiative ergriffen wird.
22) And because you can make everything in yourselves that is of high values permanent, there is no reason not to want to continue living in this world. 22) Und da ihr in euch alles an hohen Werten beständig machen könnt, gibt es keinen Grund, in dieser Welt nicht mehr leben zu wollen.
23) Truly, there are very many terrible things in the world, such as the air, the earth, the nature, the rivers and other bodies of water which are polluted, and the wars that are becoming increasingly more brutal, the unhumaneness, the crimes, the criminality, the hatred, the murdering, the fights of all kinds and the anxiety and fear and uncalmness in the human beings, but the life is nevertheless worth living and is a valueful gift. 23) Wahrlich, es gibt sehr viele Übel auf der Welt, wie die Luft, der Boden, die Natur, die Flüsse und sonstigen Gewässer, die verpestet sind, und die immer brutaler werdenden Kriege, die Unmenschlichkeit, die Verbrechen, die Kriminalität, der Hass, das Morden, die Kämpfe aller Art und die Angst und Furcht und Unruhe in den Menschen, doch das Leben ist trotzdem lebenswert und ein wertvolles Geschenk.
24) But you human beings of Earth, you do not live and vegetate from day to day if you are striving for your existence – and despite all the existing terrible things and many evils and unfairnesses that you experience, you still like many things that give you joy. 24) Doch ihr Menschen der Erde, ihr lebt und vegetiert nicht dahin, wenn ihr euch um euer Dasein bemüht – und trotz all der bestehenden Übel und vielem Bösen und Ungerechten, das ihr erlebt, mögt ihr noch immer viele Dinge, die euch Freude machen.
25) And you human beings of Earth, always consider that, whether you are joyful or sorrowful, this world from which you suffer is your world – your home, a wonderful paradise in the expanses of the universe; you only need to recognise it as paradise and do everything for it to remain a paradise. 25) Und ihr Menschen der Erde bedenkt stets, wenn ihr in Freude oder Leid seid, diese Welt, an der ihr leidet, ist eure Welt – eure Heimat, ein wunderschönes Paradies in den Weiten des Universums; ihr müsst sie nur als Paradies erkennen und alles dazu tun, dass sie ein Paradies bleibt.
26) And consider this time through which you are going, because it is your time, just as this life that you are now leading on this world and at this time, is your life. 26) Und bedenkt dieser Zeit, durch die ihr geht, denn sie ist eure Zeit, wie dieses Leben, das ihr jetzt auf dieser Welt und zu dieser Zeit führt, euer Leben ist.
27) Truly, this world is for you human beings of Earth an endangerment with regard to many kinds of things, but at the same time it is also a possibility and a task for you which you can fulfil in free will, in order to maintain the world as a paradise and, at the same time, to create a paradisiacal condition in yourselves, through which you truly begin to live. 27) Wahrlich, diese Welt ist für euch Menschen der Erde eine Gefährdung in bezug auf mancherlei Dinge, doch gleichzeitig ist sie für euch auch Möglichkeit und Aufgabe zugleich, die ihr in freiem Willen erfüllen könnt, um die Welt als Paradies zu erhalten und gleichzeitig in euch selbst einen paradiesischen Zustand zu erschaffen, wodurch ihr wahrlich zu leben beginnt.
28) You can reject or accept your world, just as you can also reject or accept the good world in yourselves, therefore, starting from today, you can make yourselves available to this world and to the truthly world in yourselves and work thereon so that everything turns to the best – in your inner world and in the outer one in which you live and which is your home. 28) Ihr könnt eure Welt ablehnen oder annehmen, wie ihr auch die gute Welt in euch selbst ablehnen oder annehmen könnt, also könnt ihr euch ab heute dieser Welt und der wahrheitlichen Welt in euch zur Verfügung stellen und daran arbeiten, dass sich alles zum Besten wendet – in eurer inneren Welt und in der äusseren, in der ihr lebt und die eure Heimat ist.
29) Truly, you cannot give the bland speech that you are unable to change anything in yourselves to the better and, as individuals, that you cannot do anything for the world either in which you live, because these are only conscienceless and irresponsible pretexts of the cowardice. 29) Wahrlich, nicht könnt ihr die fade Rede führen, dass ihr an euch selbst nichts zum Besseren ändern und als einzelner auch nichts tun könnt für die Welt, in der ihr lebt, denn das sind nur gewissenlose und verantwortungslose Ausflüchte der Feigheit.
30) If you however hold to this standpoint of the pretexts and cowardice, then it indeed looks very dark in you, as a result of which everything will be aggravated and rendered even darker, and indeed both in yourselves and in your world that you will turn from the paradise into the hell if you continue everything in the same wise. 30) Bleibt ihr jedoch auf diesem Standpunkt der Ausflüchte und Feigheit stehen, dann sieht es in der Tat in euch sehr dunkel aus, wodurch sich alles noch verschlimmert und noch dunkler wird, und zwar sowohl in euch selbst als auch in eurer Welt, die ihr, wenn ihr alles so weiterführt, vom Paradies zur Hölle macht.
