And if you separate before you have touched one another, but after you have jointly created something and
have amassed wealth together, then both the woman and the man shall have half of what has been accumulated and therefore the goods and chattels and the ownership and the wealth; but that which the woman or
the man brought into the bond of marriage as a dowry shall remain their personal and undisputed property;
unless the woman or the man voluntarily surrenders her or his own dowry in whole or in part in favour of the
other party; always remain close to righteousness (conscientiousness) in your decrees (instructions) and regulations, and do not forget to do one another true good even if you have separated from one another. |

Und wenn ihr euch scheidet, bevor ihr euch berührt habt, doch nachdem ihr gemeinsam etwas
erschaffen und euch Vermögen angehäuft habt, dann soll sowohl das Weib wie auch der Mann
die Hälfte des Erworbenen und also des Hab und Gutes und des Besitzes und Vermögens haben;
doch was das Weib oder der Mann in das Bündnis der Ehe als Heiratsgut eingebracht hat, das
bleibe deren persönliches und unbestreitbares Eigentum; es sei denn, dass das Weib oder der
Mann freiwillig und zu Gunsten des anderen auf das eigene Heiratsgut ganz oder teilweise verzichte; seid in euren Erlassen (Bestimmungen) und Verfügungen stets der Rechtschaffenheit
(Gewissenhaftigkeit) nahe und vergesst nicht, einander wahrlich Gutes zu tun, auch wenn ihr
voneinander geschieden seid. |
